The tight vehicular access and manoeuvring requirements on site combined with the need to respond to the local vernacular strongly influenced the position, layout and form of the design.

The layout provides a living area at ground floor level opening onto a garden with a double garage to the rear. A bedroom and bathroom has been integrated into the pitched roof in order to minimise the scale and impact of the development on the site.
