The house at Keyes Road is located within the Mapesbury Conservation Area and so this rear dormer extension was designed to maximise what was allowable within the conservation area planning policies. The new bedroom in the roof space benefits from views over the rear garden and onto the adjacent Mapesbury Dell Park. A shower room makes the loft conversion a self-contained bedroom suite.

The scheme also features a small trapezoidal window tucked in under the eaves of the gable end; this gives a much needed little burst of natural light to the shower room. The new stair was stacked on top of the existing one which meant no space was lost from the first floor layout. Bespoke drawers built into the eaves ensure that every inch of space is made use of.
