The rear elevation of this terraced dwelling house is adjoined on both sides by neighbours existing rear extensions therefore it’s a natural progression to fill this space and unify the terrace with a similar rear ground floor extension as a contemporary addition. Client’s brief was to review the existing divided floor layout aiming to create an open kitchen, dining and living space together with a new much needed utility space, all connected to the rear garden with floor to ceiling concertina doors breaking down the barrier between inside and outside.
